ITSigner

ITSigner is an app that can embed qualified electronic signatures in PDF and ZEDAL-XML documents. Qualified digital signatures are legally equivalent to handwritten signatures throughout the EU. Digitally signed documents are also protected against subsequent changes. The generated signatures are part of the PDF standard and are also compatible and verifiable with known PDF readers. The signature is performed completely locally on your own computer/mobile device, only the digital fingerprint (hash) of the document is transmitted to the signature device.

Installation

The app can be installed via the respective app store (Windows, Android or iOS).

ZEDAL Forms Integration

After installing the ITSigner app, ZEDAL Forms automatically recognizes the app and displays a new signature device in the signature device setup, which can be selected there as the default device for signature creation.

When triggering the signature in ZEDAL Forms, ITSigner is automatically started and displayed. There, the signature job is confirmed and additional information for authentication (card PIN or online signature login data or 2-factor authentication) is requested if necessary.

Multi-signature processes require only a one-time confirmation of the complete job, not one per signature made.

After signing, ITSigner returns to the state it was in before the job was received, and ZEDAL Forms is displayed in the foreground again.

The generated signature does not differ from a signature created using a local card reader when using a PSM.
